MIMA's design goes beyond its avant-garde aesthetics. Seen from the street, the structure becomes a sculpture and emerges on the outside as a sign of identity without losing its architectural function. Between the first façade, conceived as a great brise soleil, and the second, conceived as the true skin of the building, the architects create a third space: an open-air threshold that gradually connects each dwelling with the city.
Morph Studio and its founder, César Frías, advocate an innovative and responsible vision of architecture. Without renouncing artistic creation, but with a great technological component, their projects are born from an in-depth investigation of each location. Thanks to this, their works extract the best of each location and, at the same time, they are constituted as an element of identity, outstanding, but consistent with its environment.
MIMA's location, by the river, allows us to witness a spectacular sunrise every day. Parque das Nações offers a healthier life, with outdoor plans, long walks in the sun, fresh air and a privileged view of the Tagus estuary.
Lisbon has a dynamic social and cultural life, as well as an impressive historical heritage, making it one of the European capitals with the most character.
MIMA is located in one of the best areas of Parque das Nações, where the wide spaces next to the Tagus invite you to stroll and enjoy an extraordinary landscape.
Parque das Nações offers a wide variety of entertainment options, including the Oceanarium, the Altice Arena, a shopping centre and the Lisbon Casino.
As the site of Expo ‘98, Parque das Nações is perfectly connected to Humberto Delgado Airport and the Santiago Calatrava-designed Oriente Station.
